A floating scenography at BFM
We designed a seamlessly suspended display to showcase the exhibition Hungry World by photographer Peter Menzel, during Explore Demain at the Bâtiment des Forces Motrices in spring 2024.
To make use of the large, open space created by the building’s industrial iron structure, we devised a discreet network of metal cables and tensors. This invisible framework allowed us to suspend double-sided printed images on canvas, giving the illusion that they were floating.
To guide visitors through the exhibition, we implemented a circular itinerary, with color-coded frames around the photographs indicating their geographical origin. These frames also displayed essential information about each image, enhancing the viewer’s understanding of the works.
